Description:
Request for proposals are invited for Upgrade of the Namibian School Feeding Information System (NASIS) The United Nations World Food Programme hereby invites national ICT organizations to submit project proposals to upgrade and strengthen a web- based data collection and reporting system for the Namibian School Feeding Programme. NaSIS - The Namibian School Feeding Information System, is designed to collect information that helps the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture (MoEAC) account for resources used to purchase, process and deliver fortified maize blend to over 1,400 pre-primary and primary schools in all 14 regions of Namibia. Overall Objectives: User Interface: Upgrade to a more intuitive, easy-to-use, useful user interface that empowers the user to achieve their desired goals. Database: Ensure that the server-side back-end database is easily scalable, has an elaborate backup and recovery strategy/routine, and uses intelligent bi-directional data synchronisation mechanisms to enable the use of offline data.
