Description:
Project Management, Coordination and Implementation of CCIU Activities, in Accordance with the Work Plan and Implementation Framework PROJECT SCOPE The CCIU Project is focusing on five key areas which will be implemented at various geographic and institutional levels:  Local organizations of Community-Based Natural Resource Management are strengthened in their governance, compliance and management capacities;  The service delivery of the CBNRM support system with regard to climateadapted diversification of livelihoods and the valorization of biological / natural resources is enhanced (e.g. generating new income opportunities);  The capacities of MEFT for the coordination within the sector and for the implementation of ministerial core functions for a climate-resilient and inclusive management of natural resources are strengthened (e.g. considering human-wildlife-conflicts, the effects of the Corona/COVID19 pandemic and wildlife crime);  The competencies, instruments and mechanisms to integrate climate risks into development planning and community-based natural resource management are improved;  Support the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) of Namibia under Paris Climate Change Agreement, and increase accessibility of vulnerable households to renewable energy solutions and improved water management.
