Expression of Interest are invited for Marine Environmental Research and Application DESCRIPTION: Debmarine Namibia is a marine diamond recovery company operating in the Atlantic 1 Mining Licence Area (ML47). Currently, mining operations occur at 90 to 150m water depths at an approximate distance of 20 kilometres from shore off the south-western coast of Namibia. The key objective of Debmarine Namibia-s research programme is to assess the effect of mining operations on the seabed and surrounding environment, and to monitor the time of recovery after disturbance. In order to develop a robust scientific programme and advance the knowledge of the environment in which it operates, the company would like to engage experienced interested parties to collaborate on various marine research projects within the Atlantic 1 Mining Licence Area. Interested parties with expertise in the following fields are encouraged to submit their documents: • Physical and Biological Oceanography • Marine Ecology • Marine Conservation and Biology • Marine Taxonomy • Genetics • Maritime Statistics • Marine Hydrology • Biogeochemistry • Acoustics
