- The Project is a regional initiative designed to enhance the sustainability of the regional electricity sector. It aims to develop effective, uniform, and transparent regulatory frameworks that set out clear principles, rules, processes, and standards for the SADC region. The primary objective of this Project is to harmonise regulatory frameworks to facilitate electricity trading within SADC, a Regional Economic Community comprising 16 Member States. A combination of studies, capacity building and development of tools will be undertaken to realise this objective.
