• Quotation are invited for Construction of 4 Classrooms with Storerooms at Kuisebmond Primary School. I. EARTHWORKS 1.1. Compaction of ground surfaces including scarifying for a depth of 150mm, breaking down oversize material adding suitable material where necessary and compacting to 93% mod AASHTO density. 160 m2 1.2. Excavation in earth not exceeding lm deep: trenches and holes. 60 m3 1.3. Backfilling for trenches and holes. 30 m3 1.4. Surplus materials from excavations and/or stock piles on site to a dumping site to be allocated by the contractor. 8 m3 1.5. Earth filling obtained from the excavations and/or prescribed stock piles on site compacted to 93% Mod AASHTO density backfilling behind retaining walls, under floors, steps and apron. no m3 1.6. Coarse river sand filling supplied by the contractor under floors etc. 60 m3 1.7. Soil insecticide under floors, pavings, etc. including forming and poisoning shallow furrows against foundation walls etc, filling in furrows and ramming. 224 m2 1.8. Soil insecticide to bottoms of trenches, holes etc. 240 m2 Total 2. CONCRETE WORK (UNREINFORCED AND REINFORCED) 2.1. Making and testing 150x150x150mm concrete strength test cube 4 No 2.2. 20MPa/19mm concrete: surface beds, aprons, pavings, ramps etc. cast in panels 50 m3 2.3. 25MPa/19mm concrete: surface beds, aprons, pavings, ramps etc. cast in panels 36 m3 2.4. 30MPa/19mm concrete footings, bases and ground beams 20 m3 2.5. Prefabricated double pitch roof trusses of Grade V/M6 timber with a pitch of exceeding 10 and not exceeding 25 grade. Double pitched truss with a clear span of exceeding 6m and not exceeding 8m an overhang of not exceeding 900mm at eaves on both sides. 40 No 6.4. Medium density fibrecement fascias and bargcboards 38x50mm Brandering in widths not exceeding 900mm wide at 450mm centers in one direction and at ends fixed to underside of or in between timber rafters and trusses 526 m2 Submission of Quotations Quotations should be deposited in the Quotation/Bid Box located at Erongo Regional Council, not later than 14 Jan 2021 at 10h00 Quotations by post or hand delivered should reach Erongo Regional Council, Private Bag 5019, Swakopmund by the same date and time at latest.
