- Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Services for Provision of Scoping Services, Environmental Impact Assessments, and Environmental Management Plans for the Nilaleg Project Project Description Provision of Scoping Services, Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Management Plans Project Objectives To carry out studies on initiatives under the NILALEG Project that requires Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) including all associated potential gender-related issues while adhering to Namibia's environmental legislation and EIA procedures. The Consultancy team shall portray skills and experience as follows: a) The Consultant must have at least five years demonstrable experience in EIA; b) Must have executed at least five similar projects within the last five years. c) The Consultant's team shall include professionals with demonstrable skills, relevant technical qualifications and relevant experiences of at least five years undertaking similar work; d) The selected team shall have working knowledge of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Policy and Guidelines on Environmental and Social Safeguard Standards and have solid experiences in organizing public consultations and managing stakeholder relations and sensitivities. e) Strong preference will be given to firms: (i) that are familiar with national environmental laws and the regulatory context and requirements of Namibia; and (ii) with experiences in planning, developing, and managing EIA processes conforming to Namibian laws
